Great Diet and Training Fuel
This is a very good tasting protein bar supplement that is perfect for after workouts are curbing late afternoon munchies. I have tried most of the Doctor’s Carbrite Flavors but prefer Chocolate Brownie the best. High quality whey protein and low fat & sugars is perfect for any sports nutrition or weight reduction plan

I’ve had worse, I’ve had better
I’ve been on a low carb/low calorie diet for a couple years now so I’ve tried quite a few food items. I picked up these CarbRite Chocolate Brownie bars at my local health store since they were one of the lower-priced items. I can honestly say you can tell it’s a diet bar. The chocolate isn’t that smooth and the taste is a bit off. I still think the 2.5 net carbs & 190 cals for my work lunch are a payoff. I try my protein bars frozen but these seem to stay a bit chewy in the center, no matter how cold. I’m already not a big fan of chocolate, so I will be trying the other flavors soon.

Is it worth $2 per DAY?
The initial problem I have with this product is that a daily dosage (3 twice daily) requires 6 pills. With 60 in a bottle you are essentially buying a 10 day supply. Worth it? Wow….do the math.

I would give it a 0 stars, but it does actually work as a dieuretic, just a very pricey one. There are much easier ways to relieve bloating and water weight!

I notice many of the 5 star reviewers have reviewed NO other products on amazon as well. That alone causes me concern (red flag??).

They work but…
They work quite well but I was nervous about taking 3 at once so I take 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch, and 1 with dinner.

This product works great for water retention. I like that it doesn’t keep you running to the ladies room, works great.

Product helped with belly fat and curbed my appetite
I used alli for about 4months. I found that it really helped to control my appetite and I lost mostly bellyfat. I lost a total of 30pounds but also coupled it support from sites like [...]. All in all, this is a great product.

Fat blocker — so it doesn’t work for those who eat too many carbs/sugar calories (only)
I thought I would post this info that took me hours to find at Universal Drugstore dot com.

A doctor recommended I try Alli rather than an appetite supressant (I had requested an FDA approved prescription rather than risk ill effects of over the counter or those found online with possible origins in Asia) that speeds heart/raises BP. The good thing about Alli is that doubling the standard dose is the equivalent of the $400 drug, Xenical. Same results. Same medication.

However, I generally eat quite healthy — never eat fried foods, or rich fatty foods, no pastries or desserts. However, I do intake too many calories of carbs and as of the holidays, sugary calories as well. I explained this to my doctor.

After the holidays, I’ve resumed my typical diet of non-fat sources of food, lean meats, fiberous veggies and for treats, fruit and Kashi bars. However at night, when I want a snack, I eat too many calories for my final meal. One of my favorite treats is Jello pudding made with nonfat milk after dinner.

Combined with being mostly sedentary on the job, I’ve gained 15 lbs since October. Upon researching this product, it only works for those who consume more fat than I currently intake.

In fact, if I followed their ([...]) 1200 calorie diet (online) I would have to modify, albiet worsen, my diet where the caloric breakdown of their site 1200cal menu would leave me with over 9% of my calories coming from fat (where I strive to stay below 6 currently) and carb intake of 50% of my calories, protein would be 18% of my calories and sugar intake would be significantly over what I normally allow for myself. My calories are roughly 30 Fat-30 carb-40 protein currently.

Xenical doesn’t work unless you intake “fat-based calories.” I guess what I need is an appetite suppressant…despite what the doctor suggested.

Amazon Customer Service Horrible
Ordered this product and never received it. Contacted Amazon’s Customer Service only to receive a standard letter and no help or assistance contacting the postal service from their end. One only had to look at the tracking information to see the product never left shipping after being logged in. Oh yea, they did offer to refund my money if I waited a certain length of time to see if the package arrived.

Buyer Beware If Ordering From Amazon.com!

Some precautions before taking Alli
I started using ALLI three weeks ago after I read all the reviews on Amazon.com. Based on the reviews, this is what I did:

1) Reviewers stated that taking Alli causes gas but after the body became acclimated to it, the digestive system would produce less gas. Based on this information, I started out by taking 1 Alli pill a day after my heaviest fat meal. I continued this for the first week of my diet. The second week I took two Alli pills a day (once for breakfast and once for dinner). The net effect was that my body did produce some extra gas, but not a lot of excess gas.

2) Reviewers stated that taking Alli could cause an oily discharge. Other reviewers claimed that consuming a high-fiber supplement would stop the oily discharge from occuring. So I bought ProFibe (also available from Amazon.com) and started taking one scoop a day. After three weeks, I have never experienced an oily discharge.

3) Reviewers stated that they needed a mini-pad in their underwear to prevent accidents. You can also use a few squares of toilet paper stuffed into your butt. It’s a little uncomfortable at first, but it works.

I have now lost 5 pounds in three weeks (from 205 lbs to 200 lbs). I am taking only two Alli pills a day (breakfast and dinner) and I am happy with the results. I also walk between 3 to 6 miles a day.

Lost 90 lbs! I never feel deprived!

Tasty and effective.
I’ve been using this product for about 2 1/2 months. I take half a serving twice daily (in milk using my MooMixer) with crackers, along with a balanced diet–getting all my fruits and veggies as well!–(about 3000-4000 calories daily). Gaining weight steadily–190 lbs from 175–with a high metabolism: HR is 80-90 bpm at rest. I sometimes take an amino acid tablet (by Genesis), but no other supplements.

Amazon should state product allergies
Product is excellent except my husband can no longer drink it because the product is made in a facility with shellfish derivatives and he is allergic to shellfish. The product has caused him his allergy. Now the bottle is of no use to him.

Good Price for Good Product
My son is the one that uses these the vanilla is his favorite we ordered both vanilla and choc this time and he said the choc was rich. They work wonderfully for helping him bulk up he can drink one before lifting and one shake after lifting and it greatly reduces the soreness and gives him energy. With these he gained apox. 10 lbs in the first week and now gains 2-6 a week depending on the week. My son has trouble gaining weight he will eat 3500 calories a day and not gain an ounce. With these shakes I buy him Vit D milk to mix with them. This is a wonderful way to add more calories to his daily intake while making sure his muscles are getting all the extra they need. Timing is important due to the shake being filling.

First rate gainer
When I am training for optimal muscle gain I find this to be an excellent meal replacement! The taste is good and real. Mixing is easy. The caloric makeup can be adjusted to suit your needs. It has no artificials in it. It contains an excellent spectrum of good food based nutrients.

In my opinion this is one of the best gainers on the market when all factors are considered. (Price per serving, quality of ingredients, taste, versatility, and nutrient ratio.)

As a meal replacement, I tend to blend in some almond butter to raise the fat content and slow release…as well as consuming a vegetable with it. Often, I mix it with NOW Pro-Gainer and Pure whey to manipulate the nutrient ratio.

Each scoop provides:

225 calories

12.5g Protein

27g Carbohydrates

7.25g Fat

The way I use it alone for a meal replacement…

not worth it
This product was very inexpensive but very ineffective. I am hoping and praying they will put Nicki Haskell’s Starcaps back on the market…a diuretic that is very expensive but very effective!!!

Great product for PMS relief; bloating and cramping
Will reduce bloating and cramping associated with PMS, very effective and prompt results. The reduced bloating helps alleviate the cramping and uncomfortable feeling you get when it’s that time of the month. Glad to have discovered this product. The main ingredient is Parabrom, so there may be other brands out there that are just as good if you can’t get Aquaban.

it’s the only one that works
This seems to be the only OTC water pill that works, and it’s hard to find in local drugstores. Nice to be able to order it on-line from one of Amazon’s partners.
